Grey-coloured tram ticket-machines are located at the main entrance of the central station or you could also buy tickets on trams as they have a customer service counter towards the back of the ride. Once here, and depending on where your accommodation is, you will have to decide if you wish to walk, or if you would like to take a tram-ride (GVB). The journey to the city was about 15-20 minutes and the train reaches Amsterdam Central Station (Amsterdam Centraal). Usually these tickets are valid for 24-hours.
